App Introduction
Defoamers are critical process aids throughout the entire papermaking workflow, widely used in pulp preparation, wire section forming, pressing and drying, coating, and sizing operations. They rapidly eliminate persistent foam generated by resinous stickies, surfactant additives, and air entrained during mechanical mixing and conveying. Designed to withstand the complex operating conditions of papermaking—high temperature, high alkalinity, and high shear—they exhibit excellent compatibility with pulp systems and other papermaking auxiliaries, delivering both sustained foam suppression and rapid defoaming.
Application Value
The use of dedicated papermaking defoamers can effectively enhance the drainage performance of the pulp, reduce paper defects such as pinholes, holes, and poor sheet uniformity, and lower the frequency of breaks and the rate of nonconforming products. At the same time, it prevents slurry runoff and overflow, avoids wire and felt clogging and scaling, extends the service life of forming wires and press felts, improves production line efficiency, reduces waste of raw materials and chemicals, and helps optimize the workshop environment while minimizing the adverse impact of foam on subsequent wastewater treatment.
