Defoamers are essential additives in industrial cleaning processes—including metal cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, high-pressure spray cleaning, and electronic component cleaning—effectively suppressing and breaking the abundant foam generated during agitation, spraying, and ultrasonic vibration. In industrial cleaning, the emulsifying and dispersing actions of surfactants reduce liquid surface tension, while mechanical forces entrain air, leading to foam formation that impedes contact between the cleaning solution and the workpiece surface. This can result in incomplete cleaning, residual contamination, and corrosion. Specialized industrial defoamers are compatible with various cleaning systems—aqueous, solvent-based, and semi‑aqueous—exhibit excellent compatibility, do not compromise cleaning performance or surface finish, and are easily rinsed away with no residue.
